Assessor Renewal Policy


Effective immediately, all assessors that intend to register with US Soccer Federation for 2017 will be required to satisfy the following requirements:

  1. Attend a minimum of one (1) CNRA Tier I Referee Academy, certified by the Tier I Coordinator
  2. Submit an acceptable attendance history at either of the following (a or b), certified by the Tier II Coordinator:
    • (a) One (1) Tier II State Referee Academy
    • (b) Three (3) Tier II Regional Referee Academy events
  3. Completed an acceptable number of assessments and/or Development & Guidance (D&G) reports
  4. Attend a minimum of one (1) state-approved Assessor Training Clinic
  5. Pass the USSF State Referee test with 80% or higher, retakes permitted

The mission of this policy is to promote the very best assessors to all soccer levels. It is imperative that assessors command understanding and correctly interpret the FIFA Laws of the Game. These requirements will bolster the utilization of our assessors and limit the number of failing assessments.
