FAQs

-- If you are a current referee and are having trouble locating your USSF ID number, User ID, or password, please make sure you are logging on to www.ussoccer.info (you should see a banner bar with U.S. SOCCER INFORMATION SYSTEMS and a black background).

-- Your User ID is the letter "R" followed by your 16-digit USSF ID number; no dashes, no spaces (e.g. R0010123456789012).

-- If you do not know your USSF ID, you can find this information on your USSF Registration ID card from any previous year or you can use the “Forgot USSFID?” link on the log in page - https://www.ussoccer.info/Common/Forgotussfid.aspx. If you have provided different information than what is on your current registration record, you will receive the “No records found” message. Remove as much information as possible to try to search.

-- Your password in most cases is you last name EXACTLY as it appears on your registration card, or your date of birth with no slashes or dashes.

It's time to renew your license for 2012. Please visit the U.S. Soccer online registration site to renew and pay with a credit card. Please remember that if you are required to submit paperwork (running/written/assessments) to renew your license, then you should NOT use the online registration site. If you don't have a credit card or don't want to use one, there are instructions on our site for you to register with no credit card.

The Referee registration process is a partnership between U.S. Soccer and CNRA. Locally, CNRA is responsible for the processing and approval of your referee registration while U.S. Soccer mails out your referee card and badge once everything is approved locally. Once you apply and pay for your registration in will take about 4-6 weeks to turn everything around. Please plan accordingly.

Listed to the left are a series of FAQs that will help you should you encounter any issues with the registration system or if you would like to know the status of your registration material.

If you have not received your referee packet, it can take up to 4-6 weeks from approval to receive your packet. In many cases, there is an incorrect address associated with your record. Double check that you address information is correct when you submit your registration.

If you require additional assistance, please send an e-mail to [email protected] with your name, date of birth, USSFID (if you know it) and contact phone number.

Information for New Referees
US Soccer Logo
A newly updated document is being distributed by the U.S. Soccer National Referee Program office to all state associations for their use in training new referees. It is intended to supplement, not replace, the materials given to referees who have just complete their entry level clinic into the referee, assistant referee, and recreational referee grades.

The focus of this document is to provide information in a compressed format on matters which are of concern to new officials but which are not straight "laws of the game" knowledge. All the topics discussed (handling coaches, participating in the pregame meeting, getting assignments, developing confidence, etc.) are clearly covered in the clinics we run to certify new officials. Experience has shown, however, that having a concise, summarized guide for these matters will provide opportunities for our new referees to study and refresh their recollection of our training even after the class is over.

USSF recommends that "Information for New Referees" be distributed to everyone completing the entry level clinics. The final page of the document is provided so that students may fill in contact information for anyone who might be able to provide assistance to them in their first several seasons.
