The Youth Referee Program is a fun and safe way to explore and deepen a young referee’s connection to officiating soccer while forging new bonds in the referee community. Intended for officials under the age of 18, the program features more than a dozen in-person experiences throughout the year, including:
– Invitations to up to a dozen CNRA-supported tournaments throughout the year where they can meet other officials in their age group and learn from other officials and referee coaches in a safe environment.
– Attend one of three professional soccer matches in Northern California, watching the game with a group of fellow referees, with an opportunity to meet and speak with the match officials after the game.
– Numerous opportunities throughout the year to meet professional and FIFA match officials from Cal North and hear about their experiences as referees.
Participating youth referees will develop new friends in the refereeing community as well as learn more about officiating soccer.
