Request an Assessment for Maintenance or Upgrade

on

US Soccer Assessments are a formal observation and recording of a referee’s performance in a match. Assessors are trained professionals with game experience in a variety of levels during their career. They can help a referee advance in grade, maintain their current level, and provide course corrections in the development of an official’s understanding of the Laws of the Game. Assessors provide a game debriefing to review their observations and submit official written feedback that includes a grade of a Referee’s performance

When a referee is ready to upgrade as a State Referee (Grade 6) or maintain State or National Referee status, they must pass a number of assessments based on their grade level.

To help State Referees, CNRA has organized assessments through a State Assessment Coordinator. Requests are managed by this Coordinator who assigns Assessors and handles the formal process of recording results for CNRA and US Soccer. For National Referees/Candidates, assessments are handled by a National Assessor Coordinator. The process has been detailed with instructions for online assessment requests through CNRA GameOfficials. We invite you to participate and get your assessments scheduled in a timely manner.
